At 3:20 am on Thanksgiving Day!!! We are so happy! the doctors sent my daughter home saying she was not in labor! She had he baby at home in her own bed! She told her hubby she felt she needed to push and 10 minutes later my granddaughter popped out!! I was listening to her cry over the phone as th ambulance arrived to pick them up. I just had to share ! LLL!

11/23/08 2 CommentsIt's D- day(due day) & Still No Grandchild!
I am still waiting for my little granddaughter to be born . Her mother is in a huff bc she won't be delivering on her hubby's b-day,lol. I really hope she has it soon! I am just dying to have some joy in my house. Things are getting really really tough. I am starting to have a dificult time staying positive. I am working on it though. I am still searching for a permanent job. I am freezing while I am bellringing! We are having an arctic blast with temps down in the teens at night. If it weren't for a charity I would give up! ( shivers) I am home tonight bc there aren't even contractions going on- so I wanted to sleep in my own bed for a night. We have the bassinet and baby bed set up for lil Ashlynne. I am keeping the cell close and hoping for good news soon! I miss you all. When I come in from work all I want is really hot coffee and 3 blankets! I am going to try to leave everyone a comment but if I miss you , please don't think I love ya any less- I am just cold and exhausted from bronchitis. So a big LOYAL HELLO to all and Happy Holidays!!!!! LLL!

I apologize once again for being so non-present here. I have been keeping the pavement hot looking for employment. Someone needs to start an agency for displaced workers! This is such a small town there really aren't that many places to apply left. So soon I will have hit up all of the city. I don't really know how we qualify as a city, lol. I am still searching because the job I found will end at Christmas.
My daughter still hasn't had her baby - which is good. She is cleaning house furiously and having contractions every day. The baby has dropped considerably and she is threatening her huby with a good old fashioned Irish beat- down if he crosses her so I think it isn't going to be much longer. I am spending every spare minute with her so she doesn't make good on her threat, LOL ! He is in no real danger and knows it- she is too round to run, so all he has to do is jog out of reach and wait for her to cool it.
I miss you all terribly. I wish I owned a laptop bc my daughter has no internet. When I am here at the house I am online- job hunting. It doesn't leave me a lot of time to do much else. I looked at the pics thread and nearly fell over when I saw how long it had been since my last visit. I am still waiting to hear from the Loyal who attended the premiere after party as to how that went.
I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween! I worked at one of the local productions of "Ghosts of Frankfort". It was fun. They took folks to an historical house to hear the story told by the "ghosts" of major historical figures and their families that lived there during the Civil War era. We even were treated to firing the old canons that defended our town from being burnt to the water line! It was great!
